Grown in the highlands between the Batukaru and Agung volcanoes, Bali Kintamani coffee is cultivated within a unique community farming system called Subak Abian. This system is based on the Hindu philosophy of “Tri Hita Karana,” which emphasizes harmony with God, other people, and the environment. This philosophy directly informs their organic practices and their preference for Fully Washed processing, which yields a cup profile that is uniquely bright and clean, setting it apart from the earthier, wet-hulled coffees of Sumatra.
