Gayo coffee is cultivated in the highlands of Aceh, Northern Sumatra, one of Indonesia’s most respected Arabica-producing regions. The area is dominated by smallholder farmers growing coffee at high altitudes with volcanic soil and cool mountain climate.Compared to other Sumatran origins, Gayo is known for producing a cleaner and more refined cup while still retaining the signature Indonesian body.
